Inventors Luisa Marchese and Dawn Archie-Johansen of Tyler, Texas, designed MixAid to enhance the functionality of stand mixer metal mixing bowls to save users valuable time and effort during baking preparation. “We envisioned an insert to fit into the metal stand mixer mixing bowl to save time when making multiple recipes,” said Marchese. “Our design eliminates the repetitive task of washing the mixing bowl in between recipes.”
MixAid provides an improved method for keeping stand mixer bowls clean during the baking process. Its reusable design allows users to easily mix, pour, and store baking mixtures, is patent-granted, and listed on Amazon. The insert, sold as a set of three, protects the interior of the original stand mixer’s metal bowl from becoming dirty while preparing multiple mixtures.
Through InventHelp’s Submission Services, MixAid is licensed by MBDB Products LLC through Intromark’s discretionary licensing service. Kurtis Charlton of InventHelp’s Intromark initiated and facilitated the licensing agreement.
The product was featured in the 2025 IHS New Product Showcase at the Inspired Home Show in Chicago, Illinois. Show attendees were able to browse featured products and use the automated system to request more information on products including MixAid.
Popular Social media brand, So Yummy, featured MixAid in a product review video, receiving nearly 10 million views within the first two days of being posted to social media. After three days of generating impressions on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, MixAid sold out on Amazon, earned nearly $100k in sales, and became an Amazon number one best seller.
