What can InventHelp do for you and your invention idea? InventHelp offers services that can help inventors submit their ideas to companies. Here are some of the services that InventHelp performs for inventors.
Submit Inventions to Companies
InventHelp confidentially submits your idea to companies who may be interested in the idea in the hope of obtaining a good faith review. InventHelp professionally packages your invention, prepares descriptive materials (including a New Product Submission Brochure), confidentially submits the materials to companies in the InventHelp Data Bank, and follows up if preliminary interest is expressed.
Register Companies in InventHelp Data Bank
InventHelp has more than 9,000 companies that have agreed to review client ideas in confidence. InventHelp submits client invention ideas to companies in the invention’s category and asks for feedback and consideration. Companies registered in the InventHelp Data Bank cover a variety of fields and range in size from small to large corporations. The majority of our registrants are small to medium size companies. We are not aware of any other inventor services company that has ownership or access to a similar database.
Provide a Patent Referral
InventHelp can refer you to an independent licensed patent attorney to provide a preliminary patent search and opinion. Based on the opinion, an attorney may then help prepare and file a US patent application for the idea with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Create 3D Animation
We have an on-site animation staff who creates the Virtual Invention Presentation (VIP), which contains 3D renderings and computer-generated animations highlighting the main function or use of your invention idea. This provides viewers with a more tangible understanding of how your invention may work in practice. In the submission brochure we send to companies, we inform them that the VIP is available upon request if they would like more information. The animation is also available to the inventor.
VIBE (Virtual Invention Browsing Experience)
VIBE, or Virtual Invention Browsing Experience, is a state-of-the-art virtual viewing station which allows companies to privately view ideas from InventHelp clients. Companies can confidentially view client 3D invention animations and request to be contacted about ideas that potentially interest them. VIBE is traveling to the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, which draws a crowd of more than 16,000 licensees, manufacturers, and retailers.
Create a Prototype Model
InventHelp can produce an invention prototype model of an idea that will provide a scaled down physical representation of an invention idea. InventHelp can prepare a computer-aided drawing (CAD) of an invention. Using the CAD and a technology known as Fused Deposition Modeling, InventHelp can make a prototype model composed of various plastics, including: ABS plastic, PLA plastic, and a variety of polypropylene (PP) resins. If an invention has a prototype model available, the invention brochure and other materials will have “prototype model available” listed on them. In the event a company is interested in seeing the prototype model, InventHelp will make one and send it to them at no additional cost to the inventor.
Attend Trade Shows
InventHelp attends a number of trade shows across various industries where we try to establish new contacts and Data Bank registrants for InventHelp. Please note that InventHelp does not normally display individual inventions at trade shows. Please feel free to view a list of trade shows that we will be attending this year.
Submit Publicity Releases
InventHelp will prepare a publicity release announcing the availability of an invention idea, but not disclosing its working details. The publicity release is submitted through an online publicity distribution service, PR Newswire. The PR Newswire network reaches nearly 3,000 newsrooms, like The New York Times, ABC News, BuzzFeed, and more. InventHelp’s goal in doing this is to help you try to gain publicity for an idea through PR Newswire’s distribution to online media, traditional media and trade specific publications, in the form of a news article.
Provide Client Services
Our Client Services representatives are available Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM EST, to answer questions relating to InventHelp's invention services.
InventHelp gives no advice as to whether your idea is patentable. Such advice may come only from a patent attorney or licensed patent agent. If you wish patent advice, it is advisable to seek advice from an independent patent attorney.
