How To Opt Out Of Email Communications

If you provide your email address to InventHelp, we may send you emails about our Services from time to time. If you do not wish to receive such emails you may opt out of future emails regarding our Services by following the opt-out instructions in the email. Note that you cannot opt out of receiving required administrative or legal communications. Opt-out requests will be effective after a reasonable period of time for processing but in no event longer than such time as may be required by applicable law.

SMS Communications

You may register and subscribe to receive mobile alerts from us. By subscribing, you expressly consent to receive recurring autodialed SMS alerts and notifications on your mobile device from Invent Help. You may opt-out of SMS communications at any time.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

California Privacy Rights

This section outlines certain required disclosures and data rights afforded to California residents by the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). Please note we do not “sell” or “share” your Personal Information as those terms are defined in the CCPA.

Summary of the Categories of Personal Information We Collect

The Personal Information you may provide us with includes:

  • Identifiers such as your real name, alias, postal address and similar identifiers;
  • Personal Information Categories listed in the California Customer Records Statute such as your real name, address, telephone number, and medical information;
  • Protected Classification Characteristics under California law such as your age, citizenship, marital status, and mental ability;
  • Internet or other similar network activity such as information on how your interact with our Site;
  • Professional or employment related information such as your current or past job history; and
  • Non-public education information such as educational records directly related to you that are maintained by an educational institution.

We do not collect biometric information, geolocation data, sensory data, or make inferences drawn from your personal information.

Right to Know

You can request information about how we have collected, used and shared and used your Personal Information during the past 12 months. We have made this this information available to California residents without having to request it by including it in this Policy.

You can request a copy of the Personal Information that we maintain about you.

Right to Delete

To access or delete specific pieces of Personal Information we will need to verify your identity to the degree of certainty required by law. As permitted by applicable law, any request you submit to us is subject to an identification and residency verification process (“Verifiable Consumer Request”). We will not fulfill your request unless you have provided sufficient information for us to reasonably verify you are the consumer about whom we collected Personal Information.

Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf (an “Authorized Agent”), may make a request to know or delete related to your personal data. We require Authorized Agents to provide written authorization confirming they may submit a request on your behalf. You may only submit a request to know twice within a 12-month period. We endeavor to substantively respond to a Verifiable Consumer Request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt, unless we require an extension. If we reasonably require an extension, we will inform you of the reason and extension period.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your data subject rights. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your Verifiable Consumer Request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

California’s Shine the Light Law

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of our Site that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of the information you provide through the website to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
